• Best Research Article Award in Pathology of Parasites Session, for the oral presentation entitled “Cytopathology of parasitic dermatitis in dogs, jointly authored by N.K. Sood and others, in XVIII National Congress of Veterinary Parasitology, held at SKUAST, Jammu on 7th to 9th September, 2007.
• Jointly Best Poster Award for the paper entitled ‘Evaluation of cytological findings for diagnosis of infectious diseases of poultry’ during XII Annual Convention of Indian Society for Veterinary Immunology & Biotechnology (ISVIB) and National Symposium on “Role of Bioinformatics in the Advancement of Biotechnology” organized by Department of Veterinary Microbiology, College of Veterinary Science, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. India from November 10-12, 2005
• Best oral presentation leading to Young Scientist Award to Dr. P. S. Walia, for the paper jointly authored. Role of sialic acid of host cells in various manifestations of Trypanosoma evansi infection in buffalo calves (Bubalus bubalis). Paper presented in Annual Meeting of the Society of Biosciences, Muzzafarnagar in 1995.
• Best oral presentation leading to Narmada Hatcheries Young Scientist Award to my M.V.Sc. student Dr. Dimple Goyal for the paper jointly authored ‘Prevalence and pathology of hepatic lesions associated with diseases of poultry and quails’ during National Symposium on “Newer concept in Annual and Avian disease diagnosis – A Farmer, Industry and Institutional Dialogue” and XXII Annual Conference of Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologists held at K.N.P. College of Veterinary Science, Shirwal (Pune) from 25-27 Nov. 2005.
• Best Clinical Article Award on Canines by Indian Veterinary Journal.
• Placed 2nd in the list of most outstanding participants in a short course on ‘Recent Concepts in Oncology’ organised by Centre of Excellence in Pathology, College of Vety. And Animal Science, Trichur, Kerala from June 15 to 24, 1992.
