Gadvasu

The department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education was setup in the year 2021 i.e. 2 years after establishment of the college. It targets to impart knowledge and skills to the students, farmers and other stakeholders. The department is actively involved in transferring technologies of the college and university to the grass root level farmers for their socio-economic upliftment and nutritional security.

Activities:

• Effective teaching of courses to the UG and Diploma students
• Supply of various inputs for promotion of livestock farming on scientific lines
• Transfer of the lab technologies related to Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science to the land
• Educating the farmers through various mass media tools and extension literature in local language
• Organization of trainings/camps/programs to transfer knowledge and skills related to Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
• Organization/ participation in livestock melas
• Delivery of Radio/TV talks and extension lectures
• Research activities related to AICRP on Cattle-Sahiwal unit and AICRP on Goats Improvement through Beetal Field Unit and National Livestock Mission.
