Area of Research Interests

  • Study of microbial diversity, potential pathogens, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), disease diagnosis and prevention in aquatic environments. Next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based metagenomics approach to discover novel microbes/functional gene in aquatic systems. Development of phage and quorum-quenching probiotics-based strategies for pathogen control in aquaculture. More than five years of hands-on biotech industry experience in cutting edge genomics (NGS, Microarrays, Genotyping), high-throughput screening and assay technologies. Bioinformatics analysis of whole genome, transcriptome and metagenomics NGS datasets.
