The Department of Fish Engineering was created in 2021 to impart quality education and training in various engineering aspects related to aquaculture i.e., layout designing and construction of the different types of aquaculture systems (ponds, tanks, aquaponics, RAS, biofloc aquaculture systems etc.), hatcheries and various farm implements/infrastructure (feed mill, aerators, feeders, poly-houses, solar systems, filters pumps, processing equipment, thermal regulation etc.). Further, another major objective of the said department will be to implement IT and IOT in aquaculture for real time monitoring for developing climate-smart technologies.
