Teaching and Other Appointments

  • Actively involved in teaching of Veterinary Parasitology course for veterinary and diploma undergraduate students. Research interest involves molecular parasitology, parasite phylogenetics and diagnostics for parasitic diseases with special interest on haemoprotozoan diseases. Have handled 11 national and 1 international projects from funding agencies like RKVY, NIF-DST, etc in various capacities.

Area of Research Interests

  • Host-parasite interactions with special emphasis on theileriosis.
  • Epidemiological mapping of parasitic infection in and around Punjab using molecular, serological and conventional methods.
  • Molecular phylogenetics of parasites.
  • Resistance in parasites against antiparasitic drugs.
