The Department has the facilities for isolation of bacterial pathogens, Biosafety cabinet type 2 (A2), ELISA reader for serological diagnosis and enzyme kinetic studies, UV and visible range spectrophotometer for quantitative estimation of chemicals along with other routinely required equipments such as vortex shaker, magnetic stirrer etc.
The department also has facilities for bacteriological examination of water. The samples are regularly tested for brucellosis in the department
