Fish fauna and water quality of River Satluj from 15 different spots from Ropar headworks to Harike bridge in Punjab was assessed to study the impact of pollution on fish diversity of the river.
Discharge of untreated industrial effluents/domestic sewage of Ludhiana city into River Satluj through Buddha Nallah deteriorated the water quality of River Satluj w.r.t. conductivity, hardness, free CO2, alkalinity, biological oxygen demand (BOD) etc.
Designed and fabricated low cost fish cages suitable for fish ponds.
