Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana flagged off 10 students of B.Tech (Dairy Technology) from College of Dairy Science and Technology (CODST) for an international training programme at University of South Australia (UniSA), Adelaide, Australia. The training will commence from 08 to 22nd March and is sponsored by World Bank and NAHEP, ICAR funded Institutional Development Plan (IDP). The training aims at providing them exposure to the facilities and techniques at reputed institutes in developed countries. This visit will help the students in expanding their knowledge domain and acquiring latest practical skills. Dr. Anthony Richard Blencowe, Associate Professor, Clinical and Health Sciences, University of South Australia is hosting the contingent from GADVASU to provide practical demonstration on various advanced laboratory techniques in Microbiology, Food Science and Chemistry.
Dr. R.S. Sethi, Dean, College of Dairy Science and Technology applauded the students for being selected for this training and advised them to attend the training with dedication and curiosity so as to enhance their professional competencies. He appreciated and acknowledged the IDP-NAHEP, GADVASU for providing this great opportunity to the students of CODST.
Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, GADVASU, conveyed best wishes to the students and motivated them to work hard to acquire new skills . He added that the International academic and research linkages developed under IDP-NAHEP of ICAR will essentially help the students in their future academic career.
