Dedicated to Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 75 years of India’s independence, a 'Fit India Freedom Run 2.0' was organized at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor of GADVASU presided over the event. While addressing the students, Dr. Singh appreciated the enthusiastic involvement of students from constituent colleges of GADVASU. He flagged off the run.
Dr. Charan Kamal Singh, Coordinator, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, GADVASU, shared details of various activities being planned by the university to celebrate 75th year of India’s independence.
National anthem was sung by the students of College of Fisheries, at the very outset. There was huge enthusiasm among the participating students about the run. The vehicle carried with banner of Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 lead the run. More than 200 students run around the campus of Veterinary College complex. The participating students comprised of NCC cadets of College of Veterinary Science, NSO students from College of Fisheries and College of Veterinary Science along with students from College of Animal Biotechnology and College of Dairy Science & Technology. All the officers of GADVASU and heads of the departments joined the event to motivate the students.
The event finished on a positive and enthusiastic note for all students and faculty of GADVASU.
