College of Dairy Science and Technology, (CODST) Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana opened a new and centralised sale point for fresh milk and milk products near College of Agricultural Engineering roundabout in university campus. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, GADVASU while inaugurating this sale point unit applauded the endeavours of the CODST for fulfilling the consumer’s demand of fresh milk and milk products.
Experimental Dairy Plant (EDP) of the college is using the milk produced at GADVASU dairy farm to prepare pasteurized liquid milk, various types of clean, hygienic and nutritious processed milk products viz. Plain lassi, Masala lassi, Sweetened lassi, Paneer, Milk cake, Flavoured milk, Mozerella cheese, Ice cream etc. EDP has been established under the CODST for imparting hands on training to the students, entrepreneurs and preparing fresh and hygienic milk products for the consumers.
These products will be available for sale at the sale point from 7.00 AM to 10.00 AM in morning and 4.00 PM to 6.00 PM in evening on daily basis. The 
liquid milk can be purchased with coupons only and other milk products will be available with cash payments. Milk coupons will also be available at this sale point on selected days.
Dr. Ramneek, Dean, CODST told that the Experimental Dairy Plant of the college is committed for supplying fresh and quality milk and milk products. He praised the scientists of the college for their dedication and hard work in preparation and distribution of fresh, hygienic and quality milk products to the consumers. Deans, Directors and faculty members also graced the occasion.
