Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana and HiMedia Laboratories Private Limited, Maharashtra, inspired by their common objectives to promote and accelerate the progress of teaching, research and technology in veterinary science and allied areas. Both the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of officers of the university and HiMedia representatives.
The MoU was signed by Dr JPS Gill, Director of Research GADVASU and Dr Rajas, Director Molecular Biology, HiMedia. Dr Gill highlighted the research activities of GADVASU and future plans in developing products and technologies. Dr Inderjeet Singh, Vice-chancellor, GADVASU graced
the occasion and emphasized on developing functional MoUs having timebound activities and deliverables to the veterinary profession. He stated that the research leads taken up by the faculty of GADVASU will be converted into field use technologies for companion and farm animals with technical help of HiMedia.
Dr YPS Malik, Dean College of Animal Biotechnology said that the MoU is going to help in developing Human Resources in the field of Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Microbiology. In times to come, there will be exchange of technical knowledge and hands-on-trainings will be organized with help of HiMedia. Dr HS Banga, Registrar, Dr S Rampal, DSW-cum-EO, Dr SK Uppal, Dean PGS, Dr Amarjit Singh, Comptroller, Dr PS Brar, Director Extension Education, GADVASU graced the occasion.
