Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana celebrated the Republic day with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm at the university campus. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor, GADVASU, was the chief guest of the function. He extended his congratulations on 73rd Republic day of country. Dr. Singh unfurled the National Flag and highlighted the importance and spirit of the Indian Constitution for the development and prosperity of people. Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Students' Welfare escorted Vice-Chancellor. The entire programme was coordinated by Directorate of Students' Welfare and Estate office.
While praising the healthy democracy of India Dr. Singh talked about progress of the country. He elaborated different achievements of GADVASU. He said that veterinary hospital is contributing a lot for the treatment in this pandemic time. New machines and equipment were purchased to provide better facilities in the hospital. With the support of ICAR, University developed different class rooms for digital working. COVID diagnostic lab at college of animal biotechnology is doing tremendous work. Directorate of Livestock Farm improves the production of milk yield in an impressive manner. College of Dairy Science and Technology also updated its processing system and refurbished marketing strategies. The work is in progress of Modern Gaushala of university. Estate Department of university is working round the clock for the infrastructure development of different university, colleges and buildings. Directorate of Extension Education is contributing through different KVKs, Tele-advisory consultancy and online and offline training mediums. University signed different MoUs and developed linkages with different reputed institutes. Dr. Singh also shared achievements of College of veterinary science Rampura Phul and other affiliated institutes. Vice-Chancellor along with officers of the university honored different faculty members for their role, achievements and contributions to earn laurels for the university.
Dr. Singh urged all the staff members and students to work hard with dedication to serve the society more enthusiastically. Students were also honored for their achievements in different extracurricular activities. Students and staff members filled colors, emotions and rhythm with their performances in the function. Officers, Teachers, Employees and Students of the University attended the function devotedly.
