Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana celebrated the Republic day with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm at the university campus. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor, GADVASU, was the chief guest of the function. He extended his congratulations on 72nd Republic day of country. Dr. Singh unfurled the National Flag and highlighted the importance and spirit of the Indian Constitution for the development and prosperity of people. R&V Sqn. NCC cadets of GADVASU presented the guard of Honour. Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Students' Welfare escorted Vice-Chancellor. The entire programme was coordinated by Directorate of Students' Welfare and Estate office.
While praising the healthy democracy of India Dr. Singh linked the farmers' agitation with rich democratic spirits of the country. He said that the democratic discussion between government and farmers will definitely reach to a healthy conclusion. He said that GADVASU retained its first position among all the veterinary universities in India this year also. He dedicated this achievement to the hard work of students, employees and teachers of the GADVASU family. He said that by virtue of our achievements many national and international institutes are interested to collaborate in different areas and sending their proposals. He revealed that GADVASU has earned a significant reputation in ICAR system within a short span of fifteen years. Dr. Singh invoked that we should need to set our priorities and goals in the light of New Education Policy of our country.
Dr. Singh urged all the staff members and students to work hard with dedication to serve the society more enthusiastically. Students were honored for their achievements in different extracurricular activities. Students and staff members filled colors, emotions and rhythm with their performances in the function. Officers, Teachers, Employees and Students of the University attended the function devotedly.
